mps150-siph-full-station

Form Factor Cost-effective, Manual Probe Station for Silicon Photonics

FormFactor introduces a cost-effective silicon photonics measurement solution to support fundamental research work for emerging applications. Designed into the system are FormFactor’s years of experience developing automated photonics measurement systems – now tailored to the needs of universities and other entry-level users.

The MPS150-SiPh ensures optical fibers can be precisely aligned to couple light in and out of a device without physical contact. Leveraging its intuitive design, the MPS150-SiPh is the perfect solution for less experienced users to discover photonics and achieve highest accuracy test results.

Retro-Mirror Technology

  • Unique DUT holder allows high precision horizontal viewing
  • CalVue and DieVue enables users to adjust optical probes for achieving optimal measurement performance
  • Allows surface coupling and horizontal edge coupling for single fibers and fiber arrays

Tip-tilt Base Positioner

  • Manual or automated adjustment of the incident angle in 6 degrees of freedom
  • Leverages standard fiber holders

Optical Performance

  • System can be equipped with FormFactor’s revolutionary eVue digital imaging system or high-performance SlimVue microscope
  • The eVue’s revolutionary design provides the perfect balance between optical resolution, digital zoom and live motion video. The system enables to navigate, observe and measure devices faster and smarter than ever before.
  • The SlimVue™ microscope mitigates mechanical interference for high-magnification optics required for small-pad probing on photonics-integrated circuits (PIC).
  • The system enables the user to navigate, observe and measure devices faster and smarter than ever before
  • Spectrum software allows the user to measure z-displacement

Modular Solution

  • The prober hardware can be easily swapped if the user’s measurement requirements change
  • Provides maximum measurement flexibility: Platen extensions can be configured to perform 3-port photonics and/or electrical measurements
  • Automated positioners can be configured to obtain an even faster measurement result.

Ease of Use

  • Ergonomic and straightforward design for comfortable and easy operation
  • Intuitive operation workflow makes measurements as easy as possible for all experience levels
  • Quick and ergonomic change of DUT through pull-out stage

Lark mmwave

Lark Smaller, lighter, bandpass filters, priced to fit your system budget

Benchmark Lark Technology’s latest bandpass filter families offer an incredibly small, light form factor for mmWave applications up to 40 GHz. The mmWave family of filters can be customized to frequencies from 5-40 GHZ with BW of 2%-25%, making them an optimal choice for 5G mmWave fixed-wireless infrastructure, Ka/Ku band satellite systems, and a variety of defense applications.

The mmWave family offers two product lines to choose from mmW-STL and mmW-FH. The mmW-FH filters use a substrate-integrated waveguide design that allows for narrowband designs. These filters are manufactured using PCB processes using low-loss substrates that feature top electrical performance over a wide range of temperatures. Levering PCB processes reduces NRE costs and the time required to prototype, offering the benefits of an off-the-shelf component from a custom filter design that meets your specifications.

The mmW-STL filters are based on a stripline or microstrip design for the smallest footprint for a given frequency. This design supports more traditional bandwidths of 5-20%.

Features and Benefits

  • Small size and lightweight (.25x.25x.033 in or smaller depending on frequency)
  • Easily stacked and surface mounted
  • Temperature-stable
  • Custom yet cost-effective

PixusB210

Pixus Announces a New Wearable Software Define Radio With Enhanced Ruggedization

Waterloo, Ontario — July 11, 2022 – Pixus Technologies, a provider of embedded computing and enclosure solutions, has announced a new compact implementation of its ruggedized enclosure line utilizing NI’s Ettus Research™ brand Software Defined Radio (SDR).

The new RB210 is a ruggedized version of NI’s small form factor B210 SDR. It currently comes in an IP67 weather resistant style with options for full MIL grade implementations. The compact unit is approximately 87mm tall x 156mm wide and 300mm long and weighs under 7 lbs. It can be used in human wearable configurations or other applications requiring low SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power). The modular front and rear faceplates are customizable for various I/O implementations.

The RB210 features continuous frequency coverage from 70 MHz – 6 GHz. It combines the AD9361 RFIC direct-conversion transceiver providing up to 56MHz of real-time bandwidth, an open and reprogrammable Spartan6 FPGA, and fast SuperSpeed USB 3.0 connectivity with convenient buspower.

Pixus now offers air cooled, conduction-cooled IP67, and conduction-cooled MIL grade versions of NI’sSDRs. The company has also developed ruggedized enclosures for the NI X310, N310, and X410 styles.
